Santarchy 2025~ Portland, Maine Edition
**IMPORTANT**
This years Santarchy will be a little different. As so many large bar spaces keep closing downtown, I need to put a limit on how many burners can attend so we can get in and out of the smaller pubs smoothly. This will be first come first serve. Comment here or send me a private message and I will add you. The locations and times will only be released to the first 15 burners I hear from. 15 is about how many folks show up on an average year, so this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Join us for our 8th annual Santarchy Pub Crawl through the streets of Portland, Maine! We'll dress up in silly holiday themed clothing and move from pub to pub spreading the best kind of cheer, Burner Cheer!!
What IS Santarchy?
A holiday gathering designed to celebrate what the holidays mean to you through silly clothing, time out with friends, fostering new burner connections, and making a small scene spreading holiday cheer around town no matter what your beliefs or religion. Santarchy is a FREE, non-profit, non-political, non-religious, and non-sensical celebration of holiday cheer, goodwill, and FUN! Santarchy happens in a lot of different cities, and has been happening for many years.
This is a burner event, we will adhere to the 10 Principles of Burning Man. If you don't know them, please become familiar with them here:

My favorite burner principles to celebrate during Santarchy are:
*Radical Inclusion: Lets all have fun together!
*Participation: Participate by showing up! And/or by wearing a silly outfit to make other pub folks smile.
*Gifting: One of my personal favorites. Bring along some things to share with our fellow pub folk! One year I hung candy canes from myself and gave them out. Get creative!
*Radical Self-Reliance: Let's all have a great time. But please also exercise, and rely on, your own personal resources. If you plan to get foooshnikered please do not drive home. There are plenty of hotels/Airbnbs in the area.
*Radical Self-Expression: YES! Express yourself through your clothing, your hair, a Santa hat, etc.
