Community Blue Mass on Saint Michael's Day

The Invitations are out, and this is one of them! Come to Saint Christopher's Church on September 29th, as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Michael & All Angels, as well as honor all the First Responders (Law Enforcement, EMS, Firefighters, Military, and others) and pray for them and the communities they serve. The Mass of the Day will begin at Half Past Six in the Evening (6:30 p.m.--18:30) with a dinner for all the First Responders and their families following the Mass. The Rev'd Fr. Sam Hunicutt from Trinity Church, Junction, will be our Preachers; Fr. Hunnicutt is a retired Police Officer and Academy Instructor from the Valley. The Corpus Christi Pipe & Drum Corp will be participating, as well as the Scouting Troop, which our parish hosts. We will remember all the officers from the Country (Police, Sheriff, Firefighter, etc), who have fallen in the line of duty and do the traditional "End of Watch" ceremony following Communion. Music will be provided by the Harmonia Stellarum Houston, an Early Music Ensemble with whom we have a partnership.

This is a time for our cities, communities, and the county to come together and pray, primarily, for those who keep us safe and respond to emergencies around the area. Do let us know if you plan to attend, as we want to make sure we have ample seating available for everyone.
