Portage Township Trustee Brendan Clancy is proud to present “Understanding Autism A Guide for First Responders” on Oct. 16.
The workshop is open to all NWI first responders and others wanting to more know about autism.
Featuring retired Capt. Jerry Turning from Blue Bridge Autism Training, this is an amazing opportunity to learn from a 25-year law enforcement veteran and father of a 21-year-old son on the spectrum.
Capt. Turning has made his presentation across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The workshop is FREE to participants, thanks to a grant from the Porter County Community Foundation.
It will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16 at Portage High School, 6450 U.S. 6, Portage, Ind. Enter Door E, Room L3 Lab.
