Vanuatu National Skills Competition 2025

Vanuatu’s national development priorities emphasize the need for a highly skilled, resilient workforce to meet the demands of a growing economy. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) plays a central role in this vision. However, opportunities to benchmark skills against international standards and motivate young people to pursue excellence remain limited.
The proposed Vanuatu National Skills Competition is designed to showcase the nation’s diverse technical and vocational skills, provide recognition to outstanding trainees, and strengthen industry–education partnerships. The long-term aspiration is for Vanuatu to gain recognition and representation in the Australia WorldSkills Regional Competition, placing Vanuatu’s talent on the regional and global stage.
