Ki Gottberg is directing UNCLE VANYA (by Anton Chekhov) for Saltfire this fall! We are excited to have her aboard.
Ki taught all levels of acting for 35 years at the college level and is herself a conservatory trained actor who has directed many productions. She loves working with actors of all experience levels.
It’s the kind of show that challenges every actor to dig deep and find beautiful, enhanced truth. The comedy blossoms from the characters showing their flaws and the way their relationships chafe against one another.
On the website will soon be a breakdown of the characters, sides, and audition details. Ki is flexible on ages and wants to explore some gender flexibility. If you’d like to read the script, email

On the website there will also be a suggested rehearsal schedule. You will be asked at auditions to list any conflicts you have with the schedule at that time. And if you play an instrument, she would love to know that as well.
