Our teams/instructors travel around the world traveling the world, training and protecting people.
Most companies are contacted by regular clients seeking protection; however, we are the company that other security teams hire to ensure they come home safe from some of the worst parts of the world.
Many of our clients are the heads of security of some of the largest organizations in the world.
Our trainings are normally closed off to external access or extremely expensive. I say all of this so that you have a frame of reference as I let you know about a training opportunity.
October 16-21, we will be providing training for an international ministries traveling EP team.
The training will be held in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
They have requested a special curriculum that is entry-level training that we will be building on in several trainings over the next year. Though they have already paid for the class, they have graciously permitted others to come in and train with them for various reasons.
The main difference in this class, rather than our regular curriculum, is we will have 1 hour of Biblical Basis for Ministry Security and, time permiting, simplified use of a knife as a primary weapon.
Some military and current EP agents are attending.
Our Executive Protection Specialist training program provides the most up to date training for executive protection, so you are prepared to provide quality services to protect clients and their assets.
We will also be majoring on operating as a solo agent.
If you have trained with us before, you know we normally move the class at a pace that keeps the class building skill and will slow or speed up accordingly.
In this class, I want to be clear that the class will move at the pace of the ministry that originally contacted me. This means some of the subjects listed above may or may not be covered depending on the speed team that contracted the training.
Cost to attend is $1500 (plus registration fees total of $1609), not including Ammo or range fees. Normally, the class is $4500, but one group is subsidizing in order to get some special additions to the curriculum. This is an opportunity to get great training at a greatly reduced price.

Though we do mostly corporate security, this can include a lot of ministry security. We count some of the largest ministries in the world among our clientele.
Instructors: The lead instructor will be Kurt Owen who most consider to be one of the top 10 Executive Protection Agents in the world, in addition to being one of the most sought-after EP instructors. He has been operational in 36 nations and all continents but Antarctica.
His instructor team will consist of world-class operators who still train former and active-duty military.

General List:
- Good attitude, ready to learn.
- Pants to train in with belt loops
- Shirts to train in that can get sweaty, Dirty, and possibly torn.
- Sturdy gun belt (designed to carry a gun)
- Concealment Garment
- Full wrap eye and ear protection
- Suit or sport coat, with ties for men
- Casual Overshirt
- Business Casual Clothes
- Dress shoes you can stand in
- Shoes to train in.
- Groin Protection
- Pen and paper
Firearms Training:
- A pistol if you have one; if not, you can rent one of ours for the evaluation.
- Any training weapons/equipment you may have
- 500 rounds of Ammo ( you will have a lot more time behind a gun, but it will be airsoft)
- Weapon cleaning and lubrication equipment
- Minimum of 2 pistol mags
- Magazine pouches for pistol
- Concealment garments that you wear all of the time. If you have a suit coat, you must bring one that can get sweaty, dirty, and possibly destroyed.
l- Strong side belt holster
For the Holster, you want to make sure it is:
-Belt-mounted on your Strong Side
-Outside the Waistband is more comfortable for training days, but Inside the Waistband is more practical for Concealed Carry
-Made of a Solid Material such as Kydex (hard plastic) or Reinforced Leather
-Designed for your handgun.
- Glock holster for training with airsoft. If you don’t have one, please let us know.

Knives:
• Training blade similar to what you carry. ( You can rent one of ours)

• Thigh wrap. We use McDavid 478 Adjustable Thigh Compression Wrap• Optional Chest protector• Optional Hockey Gloves

- Raingear (We train rain or shine.)
- Hat, sunblock, and bug spray. (There are some all-day outdoor classes, please come prepared to spend the day in the elements.)
- Spare shirt (You will sweat and get dirty)
BIO – KURT OWEN
Kurt Owen has been training civilians of all ages, shapes and sizes including armed professionals for more than 35 years. With a background nearly as long in executive protection, both in the corporate world and ministry security, he has a wealth of real-life experience. His experiences include: responding to an attack, preparation - doing everything possible to avoid an attack/conflict - all while refraining from a heavy handed approach. Kurt has the skillset and mindset to preserve the lives of those under protection, should the need arise by responding to and overcoming any adversaries' ill intent.
Kurt has been a Krav Maga instructor for over a decade, he volunteers his time assisting with training officers at his local police department. He is an expert in both armed and unarmed combat of various disciplines. He holds various instructor certifications in lowlight, A.L.I.C.E. civilian active killer countering technique, Active Killer response, Edged weapons, pistol, rifle, shotgun, counter ambush shooting, and the list goes on.
In addition to all of this, Kurt has a unique perspective from having been in ministry for 30 years, having started 5 churches and having been a pastor to pastor for many years. He is intimately aware of a ministers need for protection but also discretion.
Well respected in the realm of church and ministry security, some of the largest ministries in the country call upon him when they are going into volatile areas. Additionally, these same ministries regularly fly him out to train and keep to security teams up to date. Although there are many skilled combat instructors, Kurt is known for his superior ability to replicate his skills and mindset into others.
