The London born Mr. Downchild is an international blues artist whose authentic vocals, harmonica and guitar were recognized by Blues Hall of Famer Robert Lockwood Jr. In addition, he has performed with names like Pinetop Perkins, Sam Carr and Lazy Lester to name a few.
Kasimira is a Southern born, Northern raised singer songwriter whose real skill is tapping into the soul of the lyric. Using her three octave range to her every advantage, she gives sincere emotion and life to each song.
Blues Meets Girl self titled CD came out in 2019 to rave reviews.
Since moving to Florida, Blues Meets Girl has performed from Pensacola to Gainesville. They were 2022 Semi-finalist in the International Blues Challenge representing the North Central Blues Society and has entertained many at festivals and legendary venues. Of note are Hines Farm, Mr. Handy's Blues Hall, Wilbert’s in Cleveland, Blues on Reid Fest, Blue Tavern Backyard Blues Festival, Heartwood Sound Stage and more.
