About the event

Banned Books Read-In

This year for Banned Books Week, we’ve teamed up with Libro.fm and Silent Book Club to celebrate the freedom to read and to combat censorship. Join us as we read and take action to fight book bans!

We'll be meeting in the Port Orchard Marketplace on Sunday, October 5th for an afternoon of reading, community gathering, and letter writing.

Bring a book (all formats welcome!) and spend about an hour quietly reading. Attendees will receive a free audiobook copy of Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books 📘🎧 and we'll have stationery and information available for people who'd like to write to their local representatives.
