Get a first-hand look at how water is made safe to drink and explore one of our most scenic local catchment areas.

• Wauchope Water Treatment Plant - see how raw water is cleaned and treated
• Cowarra Dam - enjoy a guided walk along the dam wall and tower (normally closed to the public), and relax in the natural surrounds

Join us for a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Port Macquarie’s Wastewater and Recycled Water Treatment Plants and discover how used water is treated, reused, and plays a key role in local sustainability.

• 1:30 PM: Meet at Players Theatre
• 1:40 PM: Bus departs
• 1:50 PM: Tour of Wastewater Treatment Plant
• 2:40 PM: Tour of Recycled Water Plant
• 3:30 PM: Return to Players Theatre

• Ages 12+ (under 18s must attend with a parent or carer)
• Tour involves walking and stairs, good mobility required
• No food or drink provided, bring your own snack and water
• Wear closed-in shoes and sun protection
• Visitors must stay with the group, no touching equipment or smoking on site
