FELT A STUNNING HAT ON A BALL WORKSHOP!
Cooeee! I’m so excited to share this new workshop we have for you! Have you ever accomplished wet felting before? Well, here is a new way to do it! No more flat resist! How exciting! This thrilling workshop is just for your enjoyment! Needless to say, I now have a new addiction … I adore working with pure merino & alpaca wools and Corriedale crimped curly locks! Naturally stunning fibres producing naturally stunning garments and items! Sustainable arts!
When is this fab new workshop on you say?? It’s on Saturday 2nd August, 10am – 5pm, at the rear of the Sea Scouts Hall, 9 Buller Street, Port Macquarie. Bookings only via text or phone to Debbs on 0434464646.
You’ll spend a brilliant day with us felting onto a ball & bouncing & rolling that ball until the wool felts, shaping & fulling your beanie/hat & embellishing it, eating yummy delights, yarning & laughing with like minded people & being amazed at the beautiful beanie or hat that will have all your friends envious when they see how lovely it is. You can choose from a myriad of colours & different pure wools to make this very cool, useful item that you’ll have for many years to come!
Each person will use approx. 150 - 200 grams of premium wools of your choice and prior to class, will choose which shape beanie/hat they wish to make. You may want to fold the edge up, make a small brim or make a slouch beanie. All materials are supplied, you will be guided all the way, teas and coffees all day as well as a delicious afternoon tea to treat your taste buds! This fun one day workshop is only $140.00 per person ($130pp if you and a friend book together.) You get a whole lot & then some for your money at Cooeee Sistas.
This workshop is for absolute beginners & for those who have wet felted before but would like to try our exciting 3D Felt on a Ball technique! You’ll be able to make either a hat with a small brim/pleats or a fitted or slouchy beanie in colours that suit your wardrobe & it will fit perfectly! You could make one as a gift for someone else. There’s no end to the embellishments you may choose to do.
We will use 100% merino & alpaca wools, silk threads, viscose or bamboo fibres, curly locks & wool yarns or silk to make & embellish your piece. Almost everything will be provided for you on the day. You will be required to bring a few common household items.
Gift vouchers are available if you’d like to shout your bestie to a memorable day out with you right by their side!
Please note … Wet felting requires a fair amount of upper body stamina here and there to bounce the ball, at several intervals during the day. We are starting at 10.00am and finishing at 5.00pm and I recommend it is for people 16 years & over.
