Come one come all to our {THIRD!} family centered dance! This is a quarterly and evolving event - each time we offer something different! This one will include circle dancing, freeze dancing and even a special warmup workshop for parents and kids. Join us!
We gather at The Hive gym in Port Hadlock on Sunday September 14th to co-create a space where children and families are surrounded by the care of the extended dancing community. All are welcome.
We will focus this late summer/early fall dance on guided activities for parents and kids. Some will be indoors and several will be in the large field outside of the gym - bring layers!
Families are encouraged to come for the beginning, but dropping in any time is welcome.
We are seeking 3-5 volunteer adults to be extra eyes and ears during the dance itself to support safety and cohesion for all. Email
RHJUYXJ0YXJvIHwgZ21haWwgISBjb20= to join the team.
Here's the program: *
9:45am Doors Open, Time to Arrive and Stretch
10-10:30am Warm up workshop with Juliana
10:30-11:45 Circle Dancing, Outdoor Parade, Freeze Dance with Johanna and Jessica
11:45-12pm Closing Circle, Singing Together, Announcements & Goodbye
* this is an approximate schedule
We plan to DJ this dance together, as we did last time. Send us your favorite family songs! We will be building a playlist from YOUR contributions. If you are a local DJ and want to join the team, email

Throughout the event, there will be a tea station lovingly tended by Leah and Tyson, parents and tea pouring connoisseurs! A wonderful way to pause amidst the movement and savor the moment.
Parents, to be clear this is not a "drop off" event for your kids but rather a time when you and they and all of us will get to play together! Your watchful, careful eyes will be important at all times to help ensure your children’s needs are met at this event.
We call upon families to relax into a space where you know your children are welcome. We call upon folks who love to dance and who love to weave in the chaos and joy that children bring to join us. We call all of us to feel the most essential blend of our generations uplifting one another in creative play and to honor that with our dance.
