Quick Sketch Meetup – Storytelling at the new splash park (Jalunbu Park)

Join us for a relaxed morning of sketching and storytelling in beautiful Port Douglas! This week’s theme is “Sketching as Storytelling” - we’ll be capturing small scenes (moments & meaning) from our day and linking them together to tell a visual story.
Choose your sketching spot:
• The vibrant new splash park (Jalunbu Park) (We'll meet there to start)
• Surf Life Saving zone on 4 Mile Beach
• People and places along the Esplanade
🖌️ What to bring:
Sketchbook or watercolour block, pencils, waterproof pens, colour (watercolour, coloured pencils, or markers), a chair, water - and a smile!
✍️ Creative prompt:
Sketch something you’ve felt, seen, or experienced. Use colour, shape, and composition to express mood. Add handwritten notes or captions if you like. One A4 page is plenty—but if your story grows, go for two! Maybe two stories if you are quick enough!
All skill levels welcome. Come for the art, stay for the stories.
