Join us for our annual hands-on Lord Ganesha Murthi (Idol) Making Workshop led by talented local artist and community member- Vijay Patil! Learn to sculpt your own eco-friendly Ganesh idol using natural clay, while discovering the cultural and spiritual significance behind each detail. No experience needed - just your creativity and devotion. All materials provided!
This workshop is open to all ages but we request that everyone who is under 10 years of age is accompanied by an adult.
We request everyone to carry their own plate / platform / box to carry their finished idol in, a small bowl for water and a butter knife. We will provide the natural, eco-friendly clay and other materials.
Workshop registration fee is for material PER IDOL so if you want to make multiple idols, please pay accordingly.
Meet your Instructor: Vijay Patil - a talented artist and sculptor has been an integral part of the Lower Mainland art scene for a few years now. Based out of the Tricities, Vijay is a member of the Art Focus Artists' Association and was recently honoured through his artwork exhibited at Government House in Victoria by the Honorable Wendy Cocchia, 31st Lieutenant Governor of BC.
