Canal Trail Cleanup Day

A Trail Cleanup Day | Jan 31 | 9am-12pm
Join us on the Savannah Ogeechee Canal Trail for a hands-on work day at the Half Moon Lake Trail section.

Meet and park at the Half Moon Lake Trailhead, 1348 Little Neck Road.

Please RSVP to help us plan with numbers and tools that will be brought. Thank you!

We'll be cleaning up a ~0.9-mile stretch from Little Neck Rd to Canal Bank Rd, doing some of trimming overgrowth, raking the path, sweeping the bridge, cleaning up litter, and making this section safer and more walkable.

Bring tools if you have them (clippers, rakes, string trimmers, brooms, gloves, etc.), but no tools needed to help.
Closed-toe shoes, water, and outdoor work clothes are encouraged. This is a very pretty and undeveloped part of the trail that crosses over Little Ogeechee Pond. Hope to see you out there!
