Sauer Sundays Fermentation Club: Fermented Hot Sauces

Welcome to Growing Pontiac's Fermentation Club, Sauer Sundays! Once a month we will be gathering at the 40 W Studio Space to offer equipment, support, tunes and guidance while you craft your own funky ferments. Check out our recipes and feel free to bring your own!

August's theme is fermented hot sauce. If you're a fan of hot sauce or classics like sriracha, you can make your own at home and control the heat, sweetness, garlic level - whatever you like! We will have sauces to taste and salt, garlic, spices, and vinegar.

Notes for our fermenters: You need wide mouth mason jars and about 3/4 lb fresh hot chiles per quart jar. Chiles can absolutely be mixed - any color, heat level, etc.

*Jars and fermenting supplies like airlocks may be available for sale at cost in the studio
