The Pontiac School District is proposing a MAJOR restructuring that will impact EVERY family:
📍 K-2 students → Whitman & Rogers only
📍 Grades 3-4 → Herrington only
📍 Grades 5-6 → Alcott only
📍 PMS becomes grades 7-9
📍 PHS becomes grades 10-12 only
📍 Owen Elementary - ELIMINATED as an elementary school
WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU:
❌ Parents driving across town for multiple school pickups/appointments instead of your neighborhood school
❌ 9th graders separated from high school activities, sports, and traditions
❌ Loss of the full high school experience we all remember and value
❌ Destruction of neighborhood school connections
Our kids deserve better. Our community deserves a voice in these decisions.
