Beginner Hand-building - 6 Week Course

This six-week course introduces the fundamentals of ceramic handbuilding for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills. Students will learn core techniques—including pinch, coil, and slab construction—while exploring surface design, texture, and glazing. No prior experience is necessary.

Included: One 25 lb bag of mid-range stoneware clay

Materials List

• Basic pottery tool kit
• (needle tool, rib, sponge, trimming tools, wooden tools, wire cutter)
• Apron or studio clothing
• Dust mask or respirator
• (recommended for sanding or working with dry materials)
• Plastic sheeting
• (to cover works in progress)
• Small container for slip and tools
• Sketchbook or notebook
• (for planning and notes)

Refund Policy

• A full refund is available up to 7 days before the first class session.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
• No refunds are issued after the first class meeting.
• Missed classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
