This Saturday, we'll "Do It All in Harriman State Park!"
Spend the day hiking, kayaking and swimming in Harriman State Park!
So bring your hiking boots and your swimsuit today! We'll start the day with a short hike to Big Hill Shelter, where, on a clear day you can see New York City (and appreciate being here in the nature). If we're lucky, we might pick blueberries and wineberries along the way for a tasty trailside treat! Then cool off with with a swim or kayak paddle to explore Breakneck Pond. We may event see the resident snapping turtle and great blue heron before heading home at in the afternoon.
This is a bus-supported trip. So, you can reconnect with nature, explore new trails, and be a part of the AMC outdoor community—all without a car!
AMC’s CONCRETE TO TRAILS Program offers weekly Saturday bus trips from New York City to stunning natural areas that are typically hard to reach without a vehicle. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or simply seeking fresh air and new views, these outings make it easy to escape the pavement and step into nature.
AMC Members $30 / Non-members $90
Cost includes bus and a day-use fee at the Stephen & Betsy Corman AMC Harriman Outdoor Center.
