Cooking By the Book: Valentine's Dinner

Rick Werner will host a Valentine's Dinner, a cooking class that will be held at the Pomeroy Library on Saturday, February 7th at 12:00 PM! Learn to make (and sample) some delicious dishes.

Appetizer: Mareabaja Shrimp - Shrimp sauteed in butter, garlic, white wine & lemon juice. A recipe from the Mareabaja Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Entree: Balsamic Roasted Beef - This recipe comes from Ina Garten, one of our favorite TV chefs.

Sides: Pommes Mousseline (Fluffy Mashed Potatoes) - A recipe from Jacques Pepin's Aunt.

Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon - These roasted Brussels sprouts taste sweet and salty at the same time. They're seasoned perfectly and very easy to make.

Dessert: Financiers (mini almond cakes) in Raspberry Sauce - These small French almond cakes, known as Financiers, are quite easy to make and can be made ahead and frozen.
