Cooking By the Book: Swing Into Spring

Rick Werner will host Swing Into Spring, a cooking class that will be held at the Pomeroy Library on Saturday, March 21st at 12:00 PM! Learn to make (and sample) some delicious dishes.

Appetizer: Mareabaja Shrimp - Shrimp sauteed in butter, garlic, white wine & lemon juice. A recipe from the Mareabaja Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Entree: Balsamic Roasted Beef - This recipe comes from Ina Garten, one of our favorite TV chefs.

Sides: Cubed Potatoes with garlic & sage - This homey and assertively flavored potato and garlic dish pairs well with poultry and grilled or roasted meat.

Stew of Peas and Carrots - This French stew is made with a roux with a base

Dessert: Financiers (mini almond cakes) in Raspberry Sauce - These small French almond cakes, known as Financiers, are quite easy to make and can be made ahead and frozen.
