September is Deaf Awareness Month, and Reading Time is aware! 😮 Every month, we make a point of using and learning American Sign Language. 🤟 But did you know that not all deaf individuals use sign language? 🤔 The fact is, deafness is a spectrum. 🧏
This Deaf Awareness Month, we are asking you to "Sign On," not only to accepting sign language, but also to meeting people where they are. 💖 We will sing and sign some songs, as well as learn about Deaf people that enjoy music. 🎵 Mr. Zae and Mr. James will talk about their unique experience as deaf/hard-of-hearing individuals. 🧏🏼♀️ And our craft will help you remember everything you learned about Deaf people and culture. 🎨
Our program will be on Saturday, September 13th.
POCATELLO:
We will be at Discovery Dance School, 310 E Clark St, starting at 1:30pm. 🗓
The space is ADA compliant. You may park in the parking lot either in front of or behind the studio.
