Step into the spotlight at Barbican Theatre with our Adults Acting Courses, designed for people who want to grow, express themselves, and connect with others in a creative environment.

EXCELerate is a weekly training programme for adults with previous acting experience who are ready to develop their performance skills to a more advanced level. Whether you're returning to the stage or preparing for professional opportunities, EXCELerate provides structured, high-quality training in a focused, ensemble setting.

Participants will take part in a short introductory workshop to ensure the right fit for the group.

• Advanced Performance Technique: Explore voice, movement, and character work.
• Professional Practice: Develop rehearsal discipline, ensemble awareness, and confidence.
• Creative Development: Work on scenes, devising, and performance outcomes.
• Industry Insight: Gain understanding of professional theatre environments and expectations.
• Collaborative Training: Be part of a committed group of peers and practitioners.
• Led by a Specialist Facilitator: Delivered by professionals with experience in ensemble and company work.
• Performance Opportunities: The potential for showings or scratch performances as part of the course.

EXCELerate is for those who are serious about performance and ready to refine their craft.
