About the event

Full Moon Nature Immersion - Wild Women in the Woods
Join us in private woodlands at Rushcliffe Country Park to celebrate the full moon in September!

The Full Moon in September is also known as the Corn Moon (as corn is traditionally harvested at this time). The Full Moon occurs on 7th September at 19:08, however we will be celebrating on Friday 5th September. This gives us the best chance of actually seeing the moon during our time together, whilst also being able to enjoy some daylight in the woods (and a lovely sunset too if the weather is right!) during our reflection and meditation time. The moon will be at 95.8% illumination.

The full moon in September will also be a Full Lunar Eclipse. This means that the moon should have a magnificent red hue to it, and can be referred to as a 'Blood Moon'. It will be the only full lunar eclipse of the year.

The event will include:
- A guided full moon meditation in woodlands
- A space for guided journaling on themes relating to the full moon
- A mindful wander through the woods and park to a spot where we should be able to see the sunset and the moon rise

Please bring with you:
- Warm clothes (it will get chilly once the sun starts setting, especially in the woods)
- A head torch / light (it will be daylight for most of our time together, however it will be getting dark by the time we finish, and will of course be darker in the woodlands)
- A mug (to enjoy some freshly foraged herbal tea)
- A notebook and pen (for journaling)
- Something comfortable to sit on for the meditation (yoga mat or camping chair is ideal)

This event is also the first event in our 'Wild Women in the Woods' series. These events are designed to give women a chance to experience nature together in a supportive, relaxed and enjoyable setting, and will generally take place during weekday evenings. All these events are also stand alone events too, and you do not need to attend the whole series. The events are open to all women.

The event will be led by Poppy, an experienced Forest Therapy Practitioner and all-round nature and wellbeing enthusiast.

Sunset time: 19:43
Moonrise time: 19:11

Please note that the car park will be closed for entry at 6pm, but free parking is available along Mere Way, by the park. The toilets will also be closed unfortunately. If either of things will be an issue for you, please get in touch.
