June Van Dunk is a self-taught artist whose work powerfully expresses the voice of the Ramapo Munsee Nation and their deep-rooted connection to the natural world. Utilizing a diverse range of mediums including paint, ink, pencil, and digital art, June weaves vivid color, rich symbolism, and emotional depth into pieces that reflect the strength and resilience of her people.
Her art stands as both a tribute to her Indigenous heritage and a compelling call to protect the environment and its residents. Through evocative visual storytelling, June not only celebrates her culture’s reverence for nature but also sparks vital conversations that challenge perceptions and inspire meaningful change.
