Saturday August 30th Event- Front gate opens at 9:30am.
The Event is from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Portraying the year 1886
(10:00am)- Event Begins
(10:15am- 12:15pm) Kids can participate in a target game, ring toss, and crafts in the school. Great time to shop in the Mercantile, listen to period music, and visit the buildings in town, see roping demonstration, hearth cooking demonstration, and see the Sheriff's tent that he uses in his travels.
(12:15pm- 12:30pm) Skit Mercantile robbed (involves gunfire)
(1:00pm)- Event concludes. All buildings will close.
The Mercantile will be open from 10:00am to 1:00pm, excluding skit times, selling goods and drinks. (Water and root beer)
Children's games will be demonstrated from 10:15am- 12:15pm.
Shoal Creek Living History Museum strives to recreate the atmosphere of a small community around the late 1800s and dedicated to the preservation of Missouri's early history and architecture.
