Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz is excited to present a double bill concert featuring the Shaelyn Band and Chris Beard and his band at Retro Live in Plattsburgh, NY, on Saturday, September 13th.
Hailing from Florida, the Shaelyn Band offers a high-energy mix of classic soul, deep blues, funky grooves, and rock. Fronted by Shaelyn (a.k.a. Shae Mulberry), a powerhouse singer and poet, this band delivers an unforgettable performance, echoing the wailing power of Sharon Jones and the captivating charm of Aretha Franklin. They are guaranteed to ignite the dance floor with a live show that is soulful, fierce, and sure to get you moving.
Chris Beard, known as the "Prince of the Blues," is an accomplished electric blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He seamlessly blends the blues tradition with modern R&B, adding a heavy dose of funk, and earns him a reputation as one of today's great guitarists.
For this special night, we will transform Retro Live into a Juke Joint music club, featuring a large stage, two stories, a wrap-around balcony, high-top tables, and plenty of space to connect with friends old and new.
