We are excited to host our 5th Annual Steps to Empowerment 5K Color Run/Walk (formerly Dash for SAS) at the US Oval Park in Plattsburgh on Sunday, September 28th!
Registration/check-in tables will open at 8:00AM on the day of the event with the 5K run/walk starting at 9:00AM. Pre-registration is $25/person running or walking, $30 on race day. Each registrant will receive a Steps to Empowerment t-shirt, as well as a swag bag upon completion of the race (while supplies last). Prizes will be given to the top three race finishers.
We recommend wearing white for the color run/walk to get the most colorful, as well as sunglasses to protect your eyes! Following the 5K we will have community agencies, lawn games, snacks and more available for participants to take part in!
This is a dog-friendly event! Feel free to bring your friendly pup and register for the Puppy Paws Package ($5)! All pup registrants will receive a bandana, frisbee and a treat bag! We ask that you keep your dogs on leash & clean up after them.
All proceeds from the event will benefit our Sexual Assault Services program and the communities we serve. Our SAS team provides free confidential counseling, a 24/7 hotline, education, and accompaniments services across Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties.
