The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Theatre presents Bunnicula, a young audience play by Jon Klein based on the novel by James and Deborah Howe with music by Chris Jeffries, on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16.
What could be more exciting than bringing home a new pet? Especially when it’s a bunny! That’s not how Chester, the family cat, and Harold, the family dog, think when their family, the Monroes, brings home a new member of the household. Especially since it’s no ordinary rabbit… this is the extraordinary Bunnicula! After his arrival, the family’s produce starts losing its juice, leading Chester to believe that there might be a vampire in the house. Is the Monroe’s new pet a vampire, or is the cat just imagining things? Find out in this fun mystery filled with singing and dancing for the whole family!
Directed by Dr. Shawna Mefferd Kelty, Bunnicula will be presented in the Hartman Theatre in the John Myers Building. Performance matinees are Saturday, November 15, at 2 p.m., and Sunday, November 16, at 2 p.m. General Admission for the play is $12, and SA Members $5. Family Tickets $10 (minimum 3 ticket purchase). You may purchase tickets online at
