Seny i Rauxa: The Balance of Reason and Fire

An evening of choral contrast as the University Choir explores seny i rauxa - the Catalan concept of balancing calm reason with wild passion. Part I, seny, features luminous, contemplative works by Victoria, Whitacre, and Faure. Part II, Rauxa, ignites the stage with bold, rhythmic energy from Valverde and Runestad.

The University Choir will be joined by The R. L. Turner High School A Cappella Choir, directed by Evan Brown, from the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.
