NOTE: This is set to change as we approach closer to the date
Hi everyone, this is planning for the QLDers who are looking to cruise together with their Magnas & Veradas from Brisbane to Adelaide for the once-in-a-lifetime Magna40 event.
We aim to spread out the drive between 3 to 4 days, at least covering 500KM per day with preferably 700km per day.
🚨The Journey:🚨
The drive from the first spot in QLD to Tonsley Park, SA is a distance of 1987KM.
Day 1 (13/10/2025): The first meeting spot to start the long journey is at the Plainland Mobil Travel Centre, QLD at 6:00AM. We urge members to meet at this time as we will intend to leave at 6:30AM sharp. The overnight stay will be in Dubbo, NSW 736KM away.
Plainland QLD to Dubbo NSW: 736KM
Day 2 (14/10/2025): We plan to meet the NSW members sometime during this day at halfway either at Dubbo or West Wyalong on the 14th of October. We aim to travel to Hay, NSW for an overnight stay from one of the previously mentioned locations.
UPDATE (11/6/2025): Rather than going directly from West Wyalong to Hay on the Mid Western Hwy, we will go a more simplified and 'less risky' route through Narrandera and then onto the Sturt Hwy toward Hay. This should give the opportunity for members in South NSW and ACT to link up and join the convoy.
Dubbo NSW to Hay VIC (thru Narrandera): 567KM
West Wyalong NSW to Hay VIC (thru Narrandera): 309KM
Day 3 - 4 (15/10/2025 to 16/10/2025): The following day or two, both NSW and QLD members will cruise together from Hay to Adelaide.
UPDATE 11/6/2025: Rather passing through Ouyen to Adelaide, we have decided we will take the entirety of the Sturt Hwy from Hay into Adelaide, passing thru Mildura for added simplicity as a less risky route.
Hay VIC to Adelaide SA (Passing thru Mildura): 691KM
The days left between arriving in Adelaide and Magna40 on the 18th will be left to you to decide. From prepping your pride and joy before its big day or having a good hard earnt rest.
🚩Extra Pointers: 🚩
We will require some wagons filled with parts, fuel and tools to travel at the back of the pack dedicated to attend breakdowns and any other emergencies.
UPDATE: 11/6/2025 as my Sportswagon will be coming as well, it will be filled full of parts and equipment. However, other wagons would be much appreciated.
There will be a physical handbook created specifically for the long journey ahead within the next few months. It'll include the whole schedule, times, etc.
At this point, there will not be a secondary cruise from Adelaide back to Brisbane.
