Join us for an unforgettable evening of international celebration of musical excellence. The evening features the U.S. premiere of Shout to the Mountains, a gold cup winning choral work from China. Sung in both Chinese and English, this powerful composition—written by a distinguished Chinese composer and father of one of our chorus members—honors the thousands who gave their lives building China’s largest power station in the remote western mountains of the 20th century. Poignant and triumphant, it’s a tribute to courage and sacrifice that resonates across cultures. We also proudly spotlight Concerto Competition winner Dylan Hanes, performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor—a masterwork of Romantic passion and lyrical depth. Adding to the evening’s brilliance are stirring selections from the Olympic repertoire and fiery excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen, brought vividly to life with live flamenco dancers.
