Holidays in the Hills Festival

Things are set for this year’s Holidays in the Hills celebration, formerly known as “Christkindlmarkt,” which will be held on Saturday, November 29th in downtown Plain. The festivities in the Village of Plain will begin at 3:00 PM, and we encourage you to extend an invitation to family and friends from outside our community to join us in celebrating this special occasion.
Holiday lights are a traditional way to celebrate the Christmas season, with the custom dating back to the time when Christmas trees were adorned with candles. All residents and businesses in Plain are encouraged to decorate their properties by November 28th. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our beautiful Village to visitors attending the festival. Let’s come together as a community and “light up” the town!
Continue the tradition by celebrating with a “tannenbaum” decorated with lights. As in previous years, you are invited to bring and decorate a tree in honor of your family, friends, or in memory of a loved one. There will be two Christmas Tree Plazas: one located on Highway 23 near Tall Paul, and another next to Ring’s Bar on Alma Avenue. Trees will be set up during the week of November 17th.
