The District may be ready to vote this month, but our communities aren’t ready to be silenced. Families, students, and staff deserve real answers before any schools are closed or reconfigured.
Superintendent Wayne Walters’ implementation plan is not realistic, and it's a BAD plan!! If the PPS Board of Directors votes “yes,” over 6,000 students will be moved to a new school, 152.5 staff positions will be eliminated, and we’ll be left with 9 empty buildings — with no plan for their future use.
All the things Dr. Walters is promising — new programs, world languages in every school, upgraded science labs — won’t happen until 2027, long after his contract ends.
We demand that the PPS Board:
1. Vote NO on November 25
2. Do a Real Equity Analysis Before closing ANY schools
3. Build a Plan WITH Us—Not TO Us
Students, families, teachers, staff, and communities must help create a new plan from the ground up.
🚨 Show up. Speak out. Join us to demand transparency, accountability, and a plan that puts students first - before it’s too late.
