Gertie is making her car cruise debut and hosting a pet food drive.
Rev up the summer with an afternoon of classic and tuner cars, trucks and street rods! Cruise into the park and enjoy cool cars, food vendors and more.
We'll be there so you can check out our 1991 Land Rover Defender 110. This particular Defender is a left-hand drive 110 model equipped with a turbodiesel 4-cylinder engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, and 4-wheel drive with a dual-range transfer case. It's also been substantially modified into an overland rig, with upgrades including aftermarket wheels, a brush guard, winch, roof rack, air intake snorkel.
We've dubbed her St. Gertude (patron saint of cats) 'Gertie' for short. We use her to transport donated food, sometimes to store food and supplies.
Stop by to see us at this event. Drop off donations of pet food for the Dr. John P. Ruffing VMD Memorial Pet Food Pantry - dry, canned, treats, etc. Our pantry has over 70 registered households.
