Join us for a powerful conversation as we explore Blackness as a global experience; how diaspora, migration, and cross-cultural connections inform artistic identity, and how local narratives intersect with universal themes. Moderated by Quincy Swatson (Founder & Owner, The Kofi Collection), the panel features:
Malayah Reynolds — Painter working in portraiture and figuration, exploring mental landscapes and human tension
Charles Lyons — Visual artist grounded in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, translating community stories to the canvas
Tamara Howard — Quilter weaving African fabrics, ancestral memory, and tradition into each creation
Amani Davis — Physician‐artist blending visual media with experiences from Afro-Caribbean heritage
This event offers insight into how global Black narratives are expressed through art and how those narratives resonate locally.
