Kickstart your journalism career with this hands-on workshop series for college students in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The first session focuses on how to pitch your story idea to a media outlet, with guidance from local editors and journalists.
Sessions combine practical skills, networking, and insider tips to help you stand out for internships and newsroom opportunities.
Join us in person or online to build your skills and connect with the region’s media community. Plus, learn about a pitch competition in November that awards $500 to the winners and a chance to get your story published!
This event is the first in a series of four in the 2025-26 academic year at Chatham University, Duquesne University, and the University of Pittsburgh. Check back for future dates and topics, coming soon!
