Finding Deep Roots presents Genealogy Workshop

Our genealogy workshop reflects our deep commitment to the community, particularly in the context of researching African American genealogy. We recognize the unique historical and social challenges that individuals of African descent have faced, including the disruption of ancestral connections due to slavery and the struggle to reclaim family narratives. In response, our program seeks to provide a safe and supportive space for participants to explore their African American heritage, uncover lost family stories, and re-establish vital connections with their ancestors. Our commitment extends beyond genealogical research; we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment where participants can celebrate the resilience and strength of their heritage, and where their contributions to the broader community can be recognized and shared. Through our workshops, we aim to amplify African American voices, celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of the community, and empower individuals to take pride in their heritage, passing down their family stories for generations to come.
