About Sharon Fagan McDermott:
Sharon Fagan McDermott is a poet and essayist who teaches at Winchester Thurston School in Pittsburgh. She has four collections of poetry--most recently Life Without Furniture (Jacar Press). Her first collection of essays, Millions of Suns: On Writing and Life, co-authored by M. Christine Benner Dixon and published by the University of Michigan Press in Nov. 2023, celebrates the joy of living a life engaged with creative writing. "Poets and Writers Magazine" called Millions of Suns one of the "Best Books for Writers."
About Valerie Bacharach:
Valerie Bacharach is a graduate of Carlow University’s MFA program and a proud member of Carlow University’s Madwomen in the Attic writing workshops. Her book, Last Glimpse was published by Broadstone Books in August 2024, ISBN 978-1-956782-79-0. Her poem Birthday Portrait, Son, published by the Ilanot Review, was selected for inclusion in 2023 Best Small Fictions. She has been nominated for three Pushcart Prizes and two Best of the Net.
About Barbara Edelman:
Barbara Edelman’s poetry collections include All the Hanging Wrenches (2022) and Dream of the Gone-From City (2017), both from Carnegie Mellon University Press; and two poetry chapbooks: Exposure, Finishing Line Press (2014) and A Girl in Water, Parallel Press (2002). Her poems and prose have appeared in in the journals Pleiades, Raleigh Review, Rattle, Arts & Letters, and others, as well as in multiple anthologies. Her work has been recognized by an individual artist’s grant in poetry from the PA Council on the Arts and residency fellowships to the Hambidge Center, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Vermont Studio Center. Edelman is a teaching professor emerita in English at the University of Pittsburgh.
