Django Jams at the Storyville Lounge

Twice a month we gather at the gorgeous Conjure Bar & Stage inside the Storyville Lounge to celebrate the acoustic jazz legacy of Django Reinhardt and his Quintette du Hot Club de France.
Your facilitators, Pittsburgh's own jazz manouche sextet Swing Dynamique will warm up the stage with a couple of hot club swing tunes starting at 7:00 and then open up the stage to instrumentalists and vocalists who are asked to have at least some basic familiarity with the music of Django Reinhardt and / or the hot club swing / jazz manouche idiom. Suggested repertoire lists and lead sheets are available upon request. Performers and audiences welcomed! Overflow space is available in the Storyville Lounge adjacent to the Conjure Bar & Stage, so between tunes please enjoy their immersive speakeasy-style atmosphere and cocktails, and remember to tip your bartenders generously!
