First Day Hike 2026

Start your year off outdoors by hiking with the Rangers of Pinson Mounds! We will be taking a hike down to the Ducks Nest earthwork while observing what wildlife we can see during a winter stroll.

Our Rangers recommend you bring :

Sturdy walking or hiking shoes
A water bottle or similar beverage
Weather appropriate clothing ( Plan on chilly temperatures)
Optional items:

Cameras
Binoculars
Apps like Merlin or EBird
We hope to inspire some new years resolutions for spending time in our park!



We will meet at the front of the museum to begin our hike at 10:00 AM
