Advent Wednesdays--Dinner & Teaching: “Light Rising: Isaiah and the Dawn of Advent”

"Light Rising: Isaiah & the Dawn of Advent"

Beginning on Wednesday, December 3rd, we will gather for three Wednesday evenings to look at the Isaiah passages we’ll be hearing in church throughout this Advent season.

Each passage addresses a different dimension of hope:
Isaiah 2:1-5 shows the world God promises to heal. (12/3)

Isaiah 11:1-10 shows the King God will send to bring that healing. (12/10)

Isaiah 35 shows the renewal God will work in his people. (12/17)

Isaiah helps us see why the season begins with promise and expectation: God’s light is rising, even before we see the fullness of it at Christmas. Together we’ll explore how these readings point to a renewed world, a righteous king, and a joy that grows as we move toward the birth of Jesus.

Dinner will begin at 6:00, and the study at 6:30.
