Visit Horne Creek Farm on Saturday, March 21st, to purchase some heirloom apple trees grafted from our orchard for planting around the home or farm. We will have numerous varieties to choose from, and you are sure to find one that works for you. Jason Bowen, the site’s horticulturist, will be on-site to provide information about the varieties that are best suited for cooking, making apple butter, or cider.
Each tree costs $25.00. Sale organized by the site’s non-profit organization, the North Carolina Living Historical Farm Committee, Inc. Money generated from the tree sale helps with the upkeep of our orchard. Come out and help preserve an integral part of the South’s agricultural heritage! We look forward to seeing you on March 21st.
Our trees will be sold at the Horne Creek Farm Visitor Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sale starts at 9:00 am, not before. Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, check, or cash. Limit of 10 trees per family. Cost per tree: $25.00. Please note: Trees are being sold for home/farm use only, not commercial endeavors.
