Let's support the local rail trail in the Pioneer Valley, here in our back yard.
This is a leisurely walk along the old rail trainline that connected Mackay to Finch Hatton.
The track is easy walking and very firm and flat. And well marked.
Our aim will be for 3-4k walk in and then back to the start. So roughly a 7k walk.
It will be warming up by then, so please make sure you have adequate hydration and sun protection, and good walking shoes.
It is totally at your discretion if you would like to carry a snake bandage.
We will meet on the grass opposite the entry gate in Jim Moule St, around the Gargett township sign.
We will head out at 7:00 sharp. If you are a little late, well you will just have to play catch-up.
You can walk, jog or run, totally up to you. We don't have to walk as a group.
Then afterwards, we can grab a coffee from one of the local coffee shops.
Let's support the local community and enjoy the great outdoors while getting our steps in 😁
