Freshwater Systems -- Lee County

Explore Florida’s wetlands, waterways, and wildlife!

Join lead instructor Kevin M. Doyle for this in-person Freshwater Systems. You'll learn about Florida’s freshwater ecology through interactive classroom sessions, expert guest speakers, and immersive field trips to places like CREW Marsh, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, and Caloosahatchee Regional Park.

From marsh ecology and invertebrates to reptiles, birds, and freshwater ethics, this course blends learning with real-world exploration. Participants will develop their own interpretive projects while gaining skills in field journaling, observation, and environmental communication.
