The Pine Apple Fire of 1903

Join us on Sunday, September 7, at 2:00 PM at the Pine Apple Town Pavilion for a special program with historian Jim Baggett on the 1903 Pine Apple fire. Stay afterward for fellowship and refreshments!

The Wilcox Historical Society’s next meeting will be Sunday, September 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Apple Town Pavilion located downtown at 71 County Road 59.

Our guest speaker, Jim Baggett, historian and former head of Archives & Manuscripts at the Birmingham Public Library, will present his research on the 1903 Pine Apple fire.

We’d love your help! Please bring or share photos of downtown Pine Apple and any stories or information about the fire.

A six-seater side-by-side ATV will be available for assistance getting to the pavilion.

Come join us as we kick off our next meeting with the largest historical society in Alabama!
