Pilot Knob Paranormal Investigation

On September 27, 1864, an 8,000 man Confederate force attacked the Union’s Fort Davidson located in Pilot Knob, MO resulting in what is now known as the Battle of Pilot Knob. The brutal one day battle resulted in the killing or wounding of 1,000 Confederate troops, while the Union forces suffered less than 100 killed or wounded. If the attack on the fort had been successful, the next Confederate objective was to attack St. Louis.

Now, exactly 161 years later, you are invited to join members of the Pilot Knob Park Staff and GRIP Paranormal on 27 September 2025, 7:30-10PM to conduct a paranormal investigation of the Pilot Knob battlefield. You will learn about the battle and then walk and investigate along the same flow of the actual battle to include investigating inside Fort Davidson. GRIP will provide paranormal investigation equipment or you can use your own. We know the history but what other stories are waiting to be discovered by you on this historic date?

· The cost for this special event is $40 (plus applicable tax per person).

· Total number of participants will be limited to 45 people. Participants will be organized into three smaller teams to maximize the investigation experience.

· Given the scope of the investigation, the minimum age for participating will be 13 years old. Participants aged 13-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

· There will be lots of walking over open fields, so please wear suitable shoes and clothing.

· This event will happen regardless of weather conditions, so please dress accordingly.

· There will be no refunds.

· GRIP will have basic paranormal investigation equipment to include K2 EMF meters, temperature monitors and dowsing rods for guests to use. You can also use your own investigating equipment, cameras and flash lights to document your experiences.

· No “Live Streaming” will be permitted from the site during the actual event.

· You can bring your own refreshments, but alcohol is not permitted. Disruptive and disrespectful individuals will be asked to leave the event.
