Rise Up: A Teen/young adult open forum on Biblical Knowledge, life issues and Relevant World Events
Rise Up is an open youth forum designed to equip and empower young people with a deeper understanding of the Bible and a biblically-informed perspective on today's world, and how that translates to real life issues. Instead of a lecture-based model, this forum fosters a collaborative environment where youth can engage in honest, respectful discussions, wrestle with difficult questions, and grow together in their faith.
Guiding principles
Anchored in Scripture: All discussions are tethered to the Word of God as the ultimate source of truth.
Encourages authentic questions: This is a safe space for youth to ask difficult, honest questions without fear of judgment.
Fosters critical thinking: Participants are challenged to think critically about world events and life through a biblical lens, rather than simply accepting surface-level information.
Builds a supportive community: The forum promotes an environment of respect and fellowship, where youth can connect with each other.
We will have sessions once a month, @7:00 pm, meeting at our RISE youth building. The session will last approximately one hour.
One week prior to the event, you will have an opportunity to present questions to be answered/discussed on our youth page.
We will take 5-7 questions (that is subject to change depending on the questions)
This month’s topic will be on mental health.
The panel will consist of seasoned and local ministers.
