The circle is drawn. Step inside … if you dare
This Halloween season, Terror at Macaulay returns for its 4th chilling year.
Join us for a haunted Halloween walk-thru at historical Macaulay Heritage Park in Picton, where history, folklore, and spiritualism are all bound together.
This year, witness the Fox Sisters - Kate, Maggie, and Leah - three women born in The County, whose voices stir the silence between the living and the dead. In 1848, their seances & ghostly knocks from beyond the grave would spark the Spiritualist movement which swept across North America, forever changing how people view death and spirits.
Branded as witches, accused of fraud, and shunned for their strange powers, they also became unlikely voices in a world where women were silenced. Their tale intertwines the supernatural with history’s darker truths: how women who dared to speak with power often faced suspicion, ridicule, and fear.
Step into the circle and hear their stories as you decide: were the Fox sisters truth-tellers or tricksters?
