Lockie Bennett Trio

Lockie Bennett is a jazz guitarist based in Wellington, who specialises in bop-oriented music. Lockie is regarded as one of New Zealand’s most in-demand straight-ahead jazz guitarists. Since graduating from the New Zealand School of Music in 2021, Lockie has performed and recorded regularly as both a leader and a side man with some of New Zealand’s top musicians.

The band features Wellington stalwarts, Alex Trask on alto saxophone and Elijah Mulheron on upright bass. The trio will be playing songs made popular by the likes of Charlie Parker, Bud Powell and Tadd Dameron.
