Echoes in Two is a jazz duo featuring George Hess on guitar and Raph on saxophone and vocals. Together, they bring a fresh take on jazz standards along with a few original compositions.
George is a jazz guitarist, composer, and educator with over 50 years of experience on stage and in the classroom. He has performed with artists such as Ryo Kawasaki, James Morrison, The Osmonds, and Jim Nabors, and has led his own groups across a range of venues, from intimate clubs to orchestras. A Berklee-trained musician and protΓ©gΓ© of jazz legend Johnny Smith, George has taught jazz, improvisation, and music technology at universities across the U.S., Singapore, and Malaysia. His latest album, The Light Ahead, features drummer Lewis Pragasam.
Raph is a French saxophonist and vocalist with a deep love for jazz. Trained at top modern music schools in Paris, heβs been an active part of Phnom Penhβs music scene since September. From classic swing to modern jazz, Raph brings energy and passion to every performance, keeping the spirit of jazz alive wherever he goes.
